What it is - DELTA and V-TAIL MIXER
2016-11-05
Most models have horizontal ballasts and vertical mounted in the classic manner.
While models with ballasts in the system "V" do not have clearly separated height and direction rudders.
To realize the control function, in both planes I control both ailerons of the stabilizers at the same time.
And so:
- In case you want to use them like an altitude rudder both ailerons deflect the same way up or down
- On the other hand, when the rudder function is implemented, both rudder ailerons swing to the same side.
- And when we want to realize both swings (rudder of height and direction) the ailerons swing as components for the movement of direction and height.
E.g. when we want the model airplane ascended and turned to the right, then the ailerons will swing upward, with the left aileron less and the right aileron more.
To realize this, it is necessary to either have a V-tail mixer apparatus or mount an electronic mixer at the servos, or realize it mechanically in the model (quite difficult for a small glider)
