Założenia były następujące:
- prosta budowa w większości składająca się z gotowych elementów i modułów.
- zasilacz musi posiadać ograniczenie prądowe, a także regulowany zakres od 0A do 3A 
- wiadomo regulacja napięcia od 0V do 24V (jak wyżej im więcej tym lepiej).
- chciałbym żeby cały zasilacz był możliwie niewielkich rozmiarów przez co bezproblemowy w transporcie.
- może posiadać dodatkowe bajery, diody sygnalizujące zadziałania ogranicznika prądu (c.c.)
