TCRT5000 reflection sensor with comparator for Arduino
Optical (reflection) sensor module with LM393 comparator, detecting obstacles with high accuracy.
Ideal sensor for obstacle detection for installation in smart robots.
Layout description
Universal reflective (optical) sensor. The transmitter is an IR diode and the receiver is a phototransistor (TCRT5000 kit).
Thanks to the LM393 comparator, the module has a binary output (D0) on which there is a low or high level.
Sensor enables object detection at distances up to 12mm.
The module has a potentiometer to adjust sensitivity and LEDs to indicate power and sensor status.
The module has an output: analog and digital
Power supply: 3.3-5V
Range: 3mm - 12mm
Current consumption max 20mA
Operating temperature 10-30*C
Connector: goldpin, spacing 2.54mm
Dimensions: 32 x 14 mm
Outputs
digital (binary D0)
analog (A0)
vcc power supply (+3.3-5V)
GND (0V ground)
Application
line detector in line follower robots
shaft position sensor for encoder
as a limit switch
substrate color detection (black/white)
