Product description
USB Type C charger with a maximum power of 1A for lithium-ion batteries. It has functions to work as a buffer power supply. This circuit will come in handy when building additional power sources (such as a power bank).
It has protection that prevents the charging voltage from exceeding 4.2V, and also protects against over-discharge - 2.5V (under load). This is important because Li-Ion, Li-Pol batteries when overcharged, as well as over-discharged, can become damaged.
The principle of operation is very simple: given a 5V INPUT power supply, the module charges the battery pack, and also this voltage appears at the output of the OUT+ and OUT- terminals. When this power supply is disconnected, the module gives power from the battery, so that the powered receiver will receive current all the time.
A useful device especially when using alternative energy sources such as photovoltaic panels or wind turbines.
