FC-37 rain sensor - water detector for Arduino
Description
Sensor for rain, snow, water, thanks to which it is possible to measure the resistance and therefore the detection of liquids with two outputs: digital and analogue. These signals can be read with an Arduino or other microcontrollers and the actions to be performed upon detection of water or other substance can be programmed. Thanks to the digital output, it is possible to set a threshold limit through the potentiometer, and when it is exceeded, the signal output changes from 0 to 1 and thus 5V. Thanks to this output, the user does not need to have a microcontroller, it is enough to connect a relay to the digital pin, which, for example, will switch on the circuit of the pump, which will pump water out of a flooded basement or garage, or turn off the pump when its condition in the aquarium reaches a predetermined level. This sensor can be used in a variety of projects: from weather stations to aquariums or dehumidifiers.
Product features
- The rain sensor module is a simple circuit that compares the probe resistance to a predetermined value.
- Water causes a drop in resistance between probe tracks - which is read by the controller chip.
- On the controller there is a potentiometer and a LED indicating the output status.
- The module has two outputs: analog A0 and digital D0.
- The digital output shows O or 1 signal depending on the trip threshold setting with the potentiometer on the board.
- LEDs on the board indicate power supply and tripping status of the module.
