An additional great advantage of the sensor is the built-in state memory so that the sensor, after detecting a touch once, sends a high signal all the time until it is detected again and changes to a low state - deactivated.

The integrated backlight turns on when the sensor is activated - it sends a high signal, and turns off when its state changes to low.
