Shield - which is an overlay on Arduino with L293D controllers for controlling high-power motors.

Overlay allows control of four DC motors or any two stepper motors.

Features of the SHIELD overlay

• The module with the L293D controller allows you to control the direction of rotation and speed of the motors and connect two RC servos.
• Shield enables bidirectional operation:
  • 4 DC motors with 8-bit speed resolution.
  • 2 stepper motors (unipolar or bipolar)

• Pull-up resistors keep motors off when voltage is applied.
