TDS&EC tester is a 3-in-1 device designed to test water purity. Measures the total amount of any dissolved matter in water (PPM), conductivity (µS) and temperature (°C). The device uses microprocessor technology that measures with high precision.
The water quality meter is easy and convenient to use with a very wide range of applications useful in:
- aquaristics,
- pharmacy,
- cosmetic establishments,
- medical,
- analytical laboratories.
It can be used to assess water in a tap, aquarium, pool, river. If the properties of the water under test do not change for 3 minutes, the device stops operation, and after 10 minutes of inactivity, it shuts down automatically.
Measurement is made at the level of water conductivity therefore the amount of dissolved salts can be examined. Crystalline pure water does not conduct electricity and as dissolved substances increase, ions appear in the water. The more both anions and cations, the better the conductivity of the current. Such devices as a water tester give the result in ppm, or mg of substance per ml of water.
- Water 0-170 PPM is ideal for consumption.
- 170-500 PPM water is medium quality water.
- Water 500 PPM and above is contaminated water.
